In Table 4.3, basic data of threshold damage energy, Ed, of various target and structure materials [41] is given for a large number of Monte Carlo simulation works and experimental researches related to radiation damage. It may be recalled [42–44] that the thermal effects can influence the displacement energy because change of momentum reduces the recombination of correlated Frenkel pairs and lattice softening.
